Meet Jade
My passion is simple, to present people in our media as vividly as they shine in our humanity.
Jade Holmes Christian is an award-winning producer/director who has a diverse catalog of short films, digital series, and multi-platform branded content for global brands. Chosen as one of seven directors for the 2021-2022 Disney Directing Program, Jade made her episodic debut in 2023 with the critically acclaimed drama Snowfall on FX.
Raised in the political metropolis of Washington, DC, Jade has always been acutely conscious of the power of one’s voice to create change. Fueled by this knowledge, Jade uses her voice as a Black woman to curate richly layered narratives about marginalized communities that resonate with audiences across cultural lines. Jade’s creative approach is informed by her classical dance training, liberal arts education at Wake Forest University, and an MFA in Film Directing from Boston University.
Her acclaimed social justice thesis film, “Three Blind Mice,” was selected for syndicated TV distribution and made available for viewing through Xfinity OnDemand. Jade’s other projects have screened at festivals around the world including the Atlanta Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Black Harvest, and the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival with special screenings in the UK, Denmark, and Rwanda. In 2019, she produced and co-wrote the award-winning documentary short, "Watching The Storm," which debuted on PBS Reel South. Jade began her career in production management, working her way up from assistant to production executive at MTV, BET, FX, Long Story Short Media, and Array Filmworks.
Also a content creator, Jade is currently shopping a slate of scripted and unscripted projects. After having lived in Atlanta, GA, Brooklyn, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Sydney, AUS, she is now based in Los Angeles, CA where she lives with her husband and two sons.
